Officiating Priest: Archbishop Vatche Hovsepian
Archbishop Vatche Hovsepian recently retired after nearly half a century of tireless dedication to the Armenian Apostolic Church. Archbishop Hovsepian began his illustrious service at Holy Cross Armenian Church in Union City, New Jersey, from 1956 to 1967.
From 1967 to 1971, he served as Bishop of Canada, devoting himself to establishing that Diocese during its transition from the Eastern Diocese.
In 1971 he was appointed Primate of the Western Diocese of the Armenian Church of North America, serving in that capacity until his retirement in in 2003. His visionary accomplishments during his tenure benefitted clergy, parishioners, and youth throughout the Diocese.
